Mechanical Face Seals DF also known as Biconical Seals
TECHNICAL DRAWING
Mechanical face seals DF has an elastomer with a diamond-shaped cross section as a secondary sealing element instead of the O-Ring.
Mechanical face seals DF consist of two identical metal seal rings mounted in two separate housings face-to-face on a lapped seal face. The metal rings are centered within their housings by an elastomer element. One half of the Mechanical Face Seal remains static in the housing, while the other half rotates with its counter face.
Mechanical end seals are used to seal the bearings of construction machinery in production plants that operate under very harsh conditions and resist severe wear and tear.
These include:
Crawler vehicles such as bulldozers and excavators
Shaft
Conveyer system
Heavy trucks
Tunnel drilling machine
Mining machinery
Agricultural machinery
Mechanical face seals are proven to be suitable for applications in gear boxes, stirrers, wind power plants and other similar conditions, or where minimal maintenance levels are required.
The video shows the installation instructions for the EMIX Sealing Solutions DF mechanical surface seal. It explains each step to properly install the mechanical face seal into the rotary application. More information including how to properly install the seal is included in the Yimai Seal Solution installation instructions application.
